Exploring London & Beyond

Paul is a member of this group, which organises walks in all areas of London, and – at least three times a year – beyond, on all-day trips to places within a roughly 100-mile radius of London. In the spring 2025 term, for example, Paul and his colleague Hugh will be leading walks in places as diverse as Croydon Museum, Swiss Cottage, the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, the stunning Hindu Temple in Neasden, the City of London, the Elizabethan Manor House at Eastbury, Islington and Hackney, Nunhead Cemetery, and an all-day trip to Bury St Edmunds.

Paul’s programme for the spring 2025 term:

  • Tuesday January 14th, Wednesday January 15th 1.45pm: Roman City Wall and Museum at Vine St
  • Tuesday January 28th, Wednesday January 29th 1.45pm: Swiss Cottage
  • Tuesday February 11th, Wednesday February 12th 1.45pm: Wood Green
  • Tuesday February 26th, Wednesday February 27th 1.45pm: Kingsbury and Roe Green
  • Tuesday March 11th, Wednesday March 12th 1.45pm: Eastbury Manor House
  • Tuesday March 25th, Wednesday March 26th 1.20pm: Nunhead Cemetery

Walks take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, normally at 1.45pm, and cost £15 for non-members. Or you may wish to consider joining for a term (£120), or for a year (£300), which works out, in the course of 12-14 visits per term, a great deal cheaper in the long run.
