Exploring London & Beyond

Paul is a member of this group, which organises walks in all areas of London, and – at least three times a year – beyond, on all-day trips to places within a roughly 100-mile radius of London. In the spring 2026 term, for example, Paul’s colleague Hugh will be leading walks in places as diverse as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Bermondsey and Rotherhithe, The Moco Museum of Modern Art, The Wiener Library, and The Museum of the Royal College of Nursing.

Paul’s programme for the Spring 2026 term:

  • Tuesday February 10th 10.45am, Wednesday February 11th 1.45pm: Wapping, and the Thames River Police Museum
  • Tuesday February 17th 10.45am, Wednesday February 18th 1.45pm: Stepney, and ‘900 Years of Transport in the East End’ Exhibition
  • Tuesday February 24th 10.45am, Wednesday February 25th 1.45pm: Warwick Avenue and Westbourne Green
  • Tuesday March 3rd 10.45am, Wednesday March 4th 1.45pm: Holborn and the London School of Economics Estate
  • Tuesday March 10th 10.45am, Wednesday March 11th 1.45pm: St Giles and Seven Dials
  • Tuesday March 17th 10.45am, Wednesday March 18th 1.45pm: Belsize Park
  • Tuesday March 24th 10.45am, Wednesday March 25th 1.45pm: Highgate to Finsbury Park along Parkland Walk

Walks take place on Tuesdays at 10.45am, and Wednesdays at 1.45pm, and cost £15 for non-members. Or you may wish to consider joining for a term (£120), or for a year (£300), which works out, in the course of 12-14 visits per term, a great deal cheaper in the long run.
